The Ordnance Factory Bhandara, a unit of Munitions India Ltd. under the Ministry of Defence is recruiting for 49 posts of Apprenticeship Training in various trades. The training aims to engage qualified candidates in various engineering and general disciplines. Interested applicants should apply by 13th July 2024 subject to specified educational qualification and age limit. Selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend during their training. Eligibility Criteria for Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2024
Education Qualification:-
1. Graduate Apprentice –
- Candidate must have passed Graduation in Engineering or Technology from a Statutory University.
- The candidate must have passed a degree in engineering or technology awarded by an institution empowered by an Act of Parliament to award such degrees.
- Graduation examination of professional bodies recognized by the Central Government equivalent to a degree.
- Candidates who have completed Graduation (Eng.) through Regular Mode are eligible for Apprenticeship Training only.
2. Technician Apprentice –
- Candidate must have passed a Diploma in Engineering or Technology awarded by the State Council or Board of Technical Education established by the State Government.
- Candidate must have passed a Diploma in Engineering or Technology awarded by the University.
- Candidates who have completed their diploma through regular (full-time) mode are eligible for Apprenticeship training only.
3. General Stream Graduate Apprentice –Â
- The candidate must have passed the graduation examination for a degree awarded by a statutory university or an institution empowered by an Act of Parliament to award such a degree or a professional body recognized by the Central Government as equivalent to a degree in the relevant field.
Age Limit:- For apprenticeship training, the minimum age limit is 14 years and there is no upper age limit. However, candidates between the ages of 14-18 are not eligible to sign the contract as they are minors. Their contracts must be signed by their parents.

Selection Process for Ministry of Defence Recruitment 2024
The selection process for Graduate, Technician, and General Stream Graduate Apprentice Training at the Ministry of Defence is based on merit. Candidates will be evaluated primarily on the basis of marks obtained in their final year examination (aggregate of all years). After document verification, selected candidates will undergo a medical examination and police verification. Final selection will be based on these criteria.
