Clerk 2023 Exam Pattern
The SBI Clerk exam in 2023 follows a specific pattern. There are two main parts to it: the Prelims exam and the Mains exam. To move forward in the hiring process, candidates need to pass both of these exams. The pattern for both exams is important for candidates aiming to become Junior Associates, so make sure to check it out.
SBI Clerk Prelims Exam Pattern- Phase I
In the first part of the Clerk exam, called the Prelims Exam, there are three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning. Here’s how it works:
- English Language: You’ll have 30 questions, each worth 1 mark. You get 20 minutes to answer them all.
- Numerical Ability: This section has 35 questions, also worth 1 mark each. You have 20 minutes to solve them.
- Reasoning: There are 35 questions here too, each worth 1 mark. You’ll also have 20 minutes to complete them.
- Overall, the Prelims Exam has 100 questions in total, with a total of 100 marks. You’ll have 60 minutes to finish all three sections.
SBI Clerk Mains Exam Pattern- Phase II
In the second part of the Clerk exam, known as the Mains Exam, there are four sections. Let’s break it down:
- General English: You’ll face 40 questions here, each worth 1 mark. You get 35 minutes to answer them all.
- Quantitative Aptitude: This section has 50 questions, also worth 1 mark each. You’ll have 45 minutes to solve them.
- Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude: Here, you’ll encounter 50 questions, with 60 marks in total. You get 45 minutes to complete them.
- General/Financial Awareness: There are 50 questions in this section, each worth 1 mark. You have 35 minutes to finish them.
- Overall, the Mains Exam consists of 190 questions, totaling 200 marks. You’ll have 2 hours and 40 minutes to complete all four sections. Keep in mind that for every wrong answer, 1/4 mark will be deducted, so it’s important to be careful.
