Eligibility Criteria for SPM Recruitment 2024

Eligibility criteria:
Inland Masters: As per the official notification The candidate should possess a 1st Class Inland Master Certificate from the IWT Directorate, Govt, of West Bengal. Candidates possessing 1st Class Inland Master Certificate from Assam will also be eligible, if they are endorsed by the IWT Directorate, Govt. of West Bengal.
Radio Officers: As per the official notification, candidates should possess a valid Indian GMDSS (GOC) Certificate.
Sr. Hydrographers: As per the official notification, candidates should possess a B.Sc.
Jr. Marine Engineer: Full-time apprenticeship in an approved Marine workshop and simultaneous attendance to an approved course of Engineering in a Technical School & passing out a requisite examination as required for a Diploma of the School.
Or Apprentices from marine workshops who are eligible to appear in class IV Part ‘A’ Engineer’s Examination of MOT and candidates with equivalent training and experience from the Indian Navy.
Age Limit:
Inland Masters: The maximum age limit is 45 years
Radio Officers: The maximum age limit is 55 Years
Sr. Hydrographers: The maximum age limit is 30 Years
Jr. Marine Engineer: The maximum age limit is 50 years
