Eligibility Criteria for VOCPORT Recruitment 2024
Education Qualification:- Trainee Pilot
- The candidate must have passed a Master’s (FG) qualifying certificate. A Foreign Certificate of Competence (COC) of an Indian citizen and recognized by India, must obtain relevant approval from DG Shipping, Government of India.
- Holding COC as Master (FG) with one year of seagoing experience and above as Chief Officer on board a foreign-bound vessel.
Experience:- One year experience as Master/Chief Officer in foreign ships.
Age Limit:- The upper age limit is 55 years at the time of entry, extendable to 65 years subject to a medical examination.
Monthly consolidated remuneration:-
(i) Training period (6 months) – Rs.1,00,000/-
(ii) After obtaining a license, piloting up to 20,000 GRT – Rs.1,70,000/-
(iii) Full tonnage/ unrestricted tonnage Rs.2,50,000/-
Selection Process for VOCPORT Recruitment 2024
Candidates applying for the post of Trainee Pilot in V.O.Chidambaranar Port Authority will go through a selection process with an interview at the Deputy Conservator Chamber, Administrative Building, Harbor Estate, Tuticorin. Selection will be made on the basis of educational qualification, relevant experience, and performance in the interview.
